November 6, 1997 RUTH A. DANCEY NAMED ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF FCC Ruth A. Dancey has been named Assistant Secretary of the FCC. She will be involved in issues pertaining to the filing of documents with the Commission, the public's communications with Commission staff, and the Commission's meeting procedures. Dancey came to the Commission in November 1993 as Confidential Assistant to then-Chairman Reed Hundt. In that capacity she was in charge of the Chairman's schedule, supervised the office and acted as a liaison with other sections of the Commission. Prior to joining the Commission she was secretarial supervisor for the Washington office of Latham & Watkins, a national and international law firm. Before that she was District Office Manager for Ohio Congressman Charles J. Carney, Office Manager for the State of Florida's Intergovernmental Relations Office, Office Manager and Personal Secretary for Congressman Lane Evans (IL-17) and Administrative Secretary to the Chief of Staff in the office of Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (NY).
