    NEW AND MAJOR CHANGE ITFS APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED FOR FILING

Notice is hereby given that upon a preliminary review, the Instructional Television Fixed
Service (ITFS) applications listed in the appendix are accepted for filing.  These
applications are not mutually exclusive with other pending applications for the use of
ITFS frequencies.  Petitions to deny the listed applications my be filed with the
Commission no later than the close of business on June 29, 1998.


In the course of processing these application, the Commission may request additional
information. The Commission also reserves the right to take whatever action may be
appropriate if upon further examination it is determined that an application is defective
and not in conformance with the Commission's rules and policies in Mass Media Docket
83-523 (Second Report and Order, 101 FCC 2d 49 (1985).
