         Instructional Television Fixed Service:
                Proposed Construction Permits And Licenses


            Notice is hereby given that the Instructional Television Fixed Service (ITFS) station          
            applications listed below have been accepted for filing.  These applications are not
mutually              exclusive with any other applications.  Petition to deny against any of the listed
applications               may be filed with the Commission no later than close of business on March
9 , 1998.                           
             In the course of processing these applications, the Commission may request additional      
              information.  The Commission also reserves the right to take whatever action may be 
             appropriate if upon further examination it is determined that any application is defective
             and not in conformance with the Commission's rules and policies in Mass Media Docket 
             83-523 ( Second Report and Order, 85-294, 50 F.R. 26736 (1985)).
