In response to a Petition for Rule Making filed by SSR Communications Incorporated ("SSR"), the Commission has before it for consideration the Notice of Proposed Rule Making, 15 FCC Rcd 9423 (2000), seeking the allotment of Channel 259A at Live Oak, Florida. SSR filed comments reiterating its intent to file an application for Channel 259A at Live Oak. Power Country, Inc. ("Power Country") also filed comments supporting an FM allotment at Live Oak. No other comments were received in response to the Notice. 2. We believe the public interest would be served by the allotment of Channel 259A at Live Oak, Florida, providing the community with additional broadcast service. Channel 259A can be allotted to Live oak, Florida, in compliance with the Commission's spacing requirements with a site restriction 11.6 kilometers (7.2 miles) southeast of the community. 3. Accordingly, pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 4(i), 5(c)(1), 303(g) and (r) and 307(b) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, and Sections 0.61, 0.204(b) and 0.283 of the Commission's Rules, IT IS ORDERED, That effective October 2, 2000, the FM Table of Allotments, Section 73.202(b) of the Commission's Rules, IS AMENDED for the community listed below, as follows: Community Channel Number Live Oak, Florida 259A, 251C2, 291A 4. A filing window for Channel 259A, Live Oak, Florida, will not be opened at this time. Instead, the issue of opening a filing window for the channel will be addressed by the Commission in a subsequent order. 5. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, That this proceeding IS TERMINATED. 6.
