At the request of Sutton Radiocasting Corporation ("petitioner"), licensee of Station WCRS-FM, Channel 244A, Greenwood, South Carolina, the Commission has before it the Notice of Proposed Rule Making, 12 FCC Rcd 9749 (1997), proposing the substitution of Channel 244C3 for Channel 244A at Greenwood, the reallotment of Channel 244C3 from Greenwood to Abbeville, South Carolina, and the modification of Station WCRS-FM's license accordingly. Petitioner filed comments in support of the proposal reaffirming its intention to apply for the channel, if reallotted to Abbeville. Opposing comments were filed by Shelley Reid ("Reid"), licensee of Station WZLA- FM, Channel 225A, Abbeville, South Carolina. Petitioner and Reid also filed reply comments and supplements. On July 22, 1999, petitioner filed a new petition for rule making proposing the reallotment of its channel to Mauldin, South Carolina, and requested that the instant proposal be dismissed. As requested, we will grant petitioner's request to dismiss its petition. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, That the petition for rule making filed by Sutton Radiocasting Corporation, IS DISMISSED. 3.
