Before the Commission for consideration is the Notice of Proposed Rule Making, 62 FR 49189 (1997), issued at the request of Crested Butte Broadcasting Company ("petitioner") proposing the allotment of FM Channel 293A to Crested Butte, Colorado, as that community's first local commercial FM transmission service. No supporting comments were filed by the petitioner or any other party. 2. As stated in the Notice, a showing of continuing interest is required before a channel will be allotted.
