The Commission considers herein the Notice of Proposed Rule Making, 8 FCC Rcd 4934 (1993), issued in response to a petition filed on behalf of Arizona City Broadcasting Corporation ("petitioner"), licensee of Station KONZ(FM), Channel 292A, Arizona City, Arizona, proposing the substitution of Channel 293A for Channel 292A and modification of its authorization accordingly to specify operation on the alternate Class A channel. Petitioner filed comments stating its intention to apply for Channel 293A, if allotted to Arizona City, as requested. No other comments were received. x2. We believe the public interest would be served by substituting Channel 293A for Channel 292A at Arizona City, since, as indicated in the  s4|-Notice, the requested channel substitution would enable petitioner to significantly increase Station KONZ(FM)'s signal coverage area.  s4q- 6 Technical Statementă x3. As Arizona City is located within 320 kilometers (199 miles) of the Mexican border, concurrence of that Government in this proposal was obtained. x4.
