The Commission has before it for consideration the Notice of  r5-Proposed Rule Making, 9 FCC Rcd 6771 (1994), issued in response to a petition  r5-filed by Steven V. Beilfuss ("petitioner"). The Notice proposed the allotment of Channel 247A to Reed City, Michigan, as that community's first local broadcast service. Petitioner filed comments reaffirming his interest in the allotment of Channel 247A at Reed City. No other comments were received. 2. We believe the public interest would be served by allotting Channel 247A to Reed City, Michigan, as it will provide the community with its first local transmission service. Channel 247A can be allotted to Reed City consistent with the minimum distance separation requirements of the Commission's Rules provided there is a site restriction 1.9 kilometers (1.2  r5-miles) southwest of the community.o` ?G<ԍ #d6X@`7Oe@#The coordinates for Channel 247A at Reed City are 435131 and 853050. Since Reed City is located within 320 kilometers (200 miles) of the U.S.Canadian border, concurrence of the Canadian government has been obtained for this allotment. 3.
