For the last week our local ABC affiliate, channel 10, has been showing a 30-second steamy piece to advertise a special news special called Killer Sex. You see two naked people kind of blurry rolling around in bed with a voice-over talking about how good the kissing, the touching, all the intimacy. Then in the last part you see and hear them climax and the female character obviously dies.This is on at all hours of the day with no regard to the children who may be in the room with their caregive. I was watching Good Morning America when this piece came on. I was shocked. My children walk in and out of my room every morning and I don't want them to see this. Why should I have to explain to them what Killer Sex is at the tender age of 7? At the same time, we have to women kissing on the mouth on Star Trek 9. How many parents do you think appretiated that one, or the gay character and all the sexual innuendoes on The Nanny last week? At 8:00 p.m. last Sunday, my 7 year old son was treated to two naked people laying one on top of the other as my husband was flipping channels. We were caught totally unprepared. The television has become an enemy in my house. If it were up to me, I would throw it in the trash.
