Subject:   Children's programs

Unless the programs change, our children will continue to have
their 2
TV-choices. It is off, or tuned to PBS. The quality of the
programs is abysmal and inappropriate, they can learn absolutely
nothing from watching them. Talk is cheap. Talking about how
worried government officials are about our violent society and
premiscious teenagers will not help unless we get to the heart of
the problem. Children who are on a regular diet of Power Rangers
and Batman, with a pinch of talk-shows and Aladdin are bound to
have problems. They are bound to think that problems can be
solved by fighting and that the world revolves around falling in
love and sex. For us, the choice is simple. We do not watch.
However, please think about the messages we are sending to all
the children who do not have parents home after school to monitor
their viewing habits!  Thank you for thinking about their, and
our, future.
