                 ITU SATELLITE FILING DEADLINE

Specifically, this Notice is to inform U.S. Satellite network operators that the International
Telecommunication Union will be closed from 24 December 1999 to 3 January 2000.  In order for
the International Bureau to evaluate and forward all time-sensitive material to the ITU in a timely
fashion, any information due to the ITU prior to 3 January 2000 must be sent to the Bureau's
Satellite Engineering Branch (SEB) prior to 17 December 1999.

Furthermore, it is requested that prior to 17 December 1999, each satellite company provide the
SEB with a designated technical point-of-contact (POC) responsible for its ITU satellite
coordination matters.  It is also requested that each satellite company identify an alternate POC
should the primary POC be out of reach for any reason.  The information should include:

ITU SATELLITE NAME (USASAT-number)
COMPANY NAME   (XYZ, Inc.)
SATELLITE TRADE NAME (XYZ-satellite)
PRIMARY POC/NAME/address/phone/fax/email
ALTERNATE POC/NAME/address/phone/fax/email

The reason that the SEB maintains this POC list is to ensure that any time-sensitive ITU request
for information on a particular satellite network is immediately forwarded to the satellite
company's designated POC.  Experience has shown that this process is the most time efficient
way for the SEB to maintain a high level of timely responses to the ITU while providing U.S.
satellite operators the opportunity to respond to ITU requests and provide technical input into the
ITU coordination process.

The requested information may be submitted to the SEB in electronic format (preferably) to
rrepasi@fcc.gov with a courtesy copy to oefremov@fcc.gov.  Alternatively, it may be sent in writing
