On August 20, 1999, the Telecommunications Division, International Bureau, issued a Memorandum, Opinion, Order and Authorization, DA 99-1637, granting the joint application of the participating parties (collectively "Joint Applicants") for authority, pursuant to Section 214 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. 214, to (1) construct, acquire, and operate capacity in a digital submarine cable system, the COLUMBUS-III Cable System (COLUMBUS-III), between the United States, Italy, Spain and Portugal; (2) acquire by lease or other comparable means extension facilities as may be required to extend the capacity of COLUMBUS-III; and (3) activate capacity in COLUMBUS-III and in the aforementioned facilities for the provision of the Joint Applicants' authorized services. 2. This erratum amends paragraph 15 of the Memorandum, Opinion, Order and Authorization by deleting the sentence "[I]n response, the other Joint Applicants point out that the Robinson-Patman Act applies only to 'commodities of like grade and quality,'3 and they argue that none of the interests at issue here are covered by that term." Accompanying footnote 23 is also deleted. 3. This erratum also amends footnote 16 of the Memorandum, Opinion, Order and Authorization. The citation in footnote 16 was intended to reference back to the citation to the September 1998 ex parte in footnote 14, and was mistakenly written as an id. citation. Therefore, we amend footnote 16 to read as follows: "6 See supra note 14, para. 5." With this amendment, the subsequent id. citations in footnotes 17 and 18 also reference back to the September 1998 ex parte contained in footnote 14.
