The Boeing Company ("Boeing") requests a two-week extension of time to file Oppositions/Responses and Reply Comments regarding the above referenced proceeding. 2. Boeing argues that a two-week extension is warranted because the existing pleading cycle conflicts with the upcoming International Telecommunication Union ("ITU") Special Committee on Regulatory and Procedural Matters ("SCRPM") meeting that is scheduled for July 12-16, 1999 in Geneva. Boeing notes that many of the people who will play a significant role in formulating its comments will be in Geneva for the SCRPM meeting. 3. Boeing also asserts that the current pleading cycle overlaps with the pleading cycles for the Commission's Notice of Proposed Rule Making on licensing and service rules for the mobile satellite service ("MSS") in the 2 GHz band and Lockheed Martin's application to launch and operate a regional augmentation service for the global positioning system ("GPS"). Boeing notes that it has substantial interests in both proceedings and a two-week extension would give it the opportunity to properly analyze the relevant petitions and comments that have been filed. Boeing represents that this extension request is unopposed. 4. In the interest of developing a more comprehensive record and given the complex legal and technical issues raised in the proceedings described by Boeing, we find it is in the public interest to grant Boeing a two-week extension. Therefore, we extend the date for all interested parties to file Oppositions/Responses and Reply Comments to August 4, 1999 and August 16, 1999, respectively. 5. This action is taken pursuant to the authority found in Sections 4(i) and 303 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. 154(i), 303; and pursuant to Sections 0.51, 0.261, 1.46 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. 0.51, 0.261, 1.46. 6. Accordingly, the Boeing Company's Motion for Extension of Time is GRANTED and the deadline for filing Oppositions/Responses and Reply Comments in the above mentioned proceeding is EXTENDED to August 4, 1999 and August 16, 1999, respectively.
