W. The tutorial will be presented by Christine Hemrick, Vice President of Technical Communications in the Office of the Chief Technical Officer at Cisco Systems, Inc., and David R. Oran, a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco. The tutorial will consist of two sessions, from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., and will include a description of what voice over Internet Protocol is, why it is being created, how the development is being implemented, what architectures are used, the applications of the developed system, the economics of voice over IP, some case studies of networks Cisco has developed for clients and how these systems operate.
