OET Prototype Electronic Form 731 The Office of Engineering and Technology, in conjunction with Dyncorp, Information and Engineering Technology, has made a prototype electronic version of the Form 731, Application for Equipment Authorization, available on the Internet for preview and comment by the public. The prototype electronic Form 731 has been developed in preparation for implementation of a system for electronic exchange of application input data related to the equipment authorization process. OET expects to be on-line with an option for electronically submitting Form 731 data by late April or early May 1998. The project is currently in the initial development phase, and therefore full functionality programming is still in process. As part of the design process, parties who might consider filing a Form 731 electronically, are invited to review the on-line prototype and provide input on the format, ease of use, help screens, prompts, and any other element pertinent to the electronic filing process. The on-line Form 731 can be accessed at http://www.fcc.gov/oet/info/forms/. Instructions for accessing the on-line Form 731 can be found at the same location. Parties who would like to make written suggestions should send them to the attention of Sandra Haase at the following address: FCC Laboratory 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 or e-mail shaase@fcc.gov Questions regarding the on-line form may be directed to Sandra Haase at (301) 725-1585 X207, or George Tannahill at (301) 725-1585 X237.
