On October 2, 1998, Mobile Communications Holdings, Inc. ("MCHI") requested a one- week extension of time to file reply comments in the above captioned proceeding. In its motion, MCHI states that the comments address technical matters that require more than cursory study and that these comments were not immediately available for duplicating. MCHI further states that the relatively short reply period has proven insufficient to evaluate fully and respond meaningfully to the views advanced in the initial comments. 2. Although the Commission does not routinely grant extensions of time, we agree with MCHI that in this instance an extension of time would be in the public interest. The technical matters are sufficiently complex so as to render it infeasible for MCHI and other parties who may wish to submit detailed reply comments to do so by October 5, 1998. Accordingly, for good cause shown, IT IS ORDERED that the date for filing reply comments is extended to October 13, 1998. 3. This action is taken pursuant to authority found in Sections 4 (i) and 303 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. 154 (i) and 303; and pursuant to Sections 0.31, 0.241, and 1.46 of the Commission's Rules, 47 C.F.R. 0.31, 0.241 and 1.46.
