On June 3, 1998, the Industrial Telecommunications Association, Inc. ("ITA") requested an extension of time to file reply comments in the above captioned proceeding. In its motion, ITA states that because the petition filed by the Land Mobile Communications Council raises fundamental issues related to the regulation of the private wireless industry, and because of the large number of comments received, it believes that an additional thirty days are necessary to file reply comments. 2. Although the Commission does not routinely grant extensions of time, we agree with ITA that in this instance an extension of time would be in the public interest. The volume of comments is sufficiently large so as to render it infeasible for ITA and other parties who may wish to submit detailed reply comments to do so by June 16, 1998. Accordingly, for good cause shown, IT IS ORDERED that the date for filing reply comments is extended to July 16, 1998. 3. This action is taken pursuant to authority found in Sections 4 (i) and 303 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. 154 (i) and 303; and pursuant to Sections 0.31, 0.241, and 1.46 of the Commission's Rules, 47 C.F.R. 0.31, 0.241 and 1.46.
