Specifically, we are deleting footnote US243. We are correcting the presentation of the land mobile allocation in the 220222 MHz band, the amateur allocation in the 222225 MHz band, and the text of International footnote 471. Footnote US243 provides stations in the radiolocation service priority use of the 220225 MHz band over other services until January 1, 1990. This date has passed, making the footnote obsolete. Therefore, to update our rules, we are deleting footnote US243 from the Table of Frequency Allocations. The Commission allocated the 220222 MHz band to the land mobile service on a primary basis and the 222225 MHz band to the amateur service on a primary basis in GEN Docket No. 8714. XP P See Report and Order, GEN Docket No. 8714, 53 FR 36287, (September 19, 1988). However, these allocations were printed incorrectly in the Code of Federal Regulations as secondary services. Therefore, we are correcting the Table of Frequency Allocations, Section 2.106, to correctly show the primary status of these allocations. The Commission publishes all International Telecommunication Union (ITU) footnotes in the domestic table of frequency allocations for informational purposes. International footnote 471 (RR471) contains specific provisions pertaining to the use of the 490495 kHz and 505510 kHz bands. This footnote was adopted domestically in GEN Docket No. 80739. XP P See Second Report and Order, GEN Docket No. 80739, 49 FR 02357, (January 19, 1984). Xx@ ѽ However, in the printing of RR471 in the Rules, the mention of the 505510 kHz band was inadvertently omitted. Therefore, we are also correcting the Table of Frequency Allocations to correctly show RR471. This Order makes only minor technical amendments to the rules; no substantive changes have been made to the rules. Notice and comment are therefore unnecessary. See 5 U.S.C. 553(b)(B). Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, that pursuant to authority of 47 U.S.C. Section 154(i), 302, and 303, and pursuant to Section 0.231(d) of the Commission's Rules. Part 2 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations IS AMENDED as shown below. This amendment becomes EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. ` #h#((FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION ` #h#((Richard M.
