PUBLIC NOTICE March 27, 1996 Economics Seminar The first speaker in the Commission's Economics Speaker Series will be Dr. Robert Crandall, a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, in Washington, D.C. Dr. Crandall will speak in an open forum on April 4th, 1996 from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM in the Commission Meeting Room, Room 856, at 1919 M Street NW Washington, D.C. Dr. Crandall, who co-authored the book "Talk is Cheap: The Promise of Regulatory Reform in North American Telecommunications," will discuss the structure and regulation of telecommunications. He will accept questions after his presentation. The Commission's Economics Speaker Series will continue throughout the year with special presentations by distinguished economists. The series is being organized by FCC Chief Economist Joseph Farrell in order to provide FCC employees and other members of the community with an opportunity to hear differing views on economic policy and telecommunications.
