NEWSReport No. CI 96-2 COMPLIANCE & INFORMATION ACTION March 6, 1996 COMMISSION AFFIRMS FORFEITURES ASSESSED AGAINST VERNON A. PAROLI (GRETNA, LA) AND JOHN B. GENOVESE (NEW ORLEANS, LA) FOR INTERFERENCE WITH AMATEUR RADIO COMMUNICATIONS The Commission has upheld two Compliance and Information Bureau (CIB) decisions denying reconsideration of monetary forfeitures assessed against John B. Genovese, of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Vernon A. Paroli, of Gretna, Louisiana, thus ordering them to pay forfeitures in the amount of $500 and $700 respectively. CIB imposed the forfeitures against Mr. Genovese, licensee of amateur radio station WB5LOC, and Mr. Paroli, licensee of amateur radio station KA5OWW, for interfering with communications of other amateur operators in the amateur radio service. In both proceedings, the licensees filed applications for review. In affirming the Bureau's decisions, the Commission noted that the applications for review raised arguments that were previously considered by CIB and properly decided. Action by the Commission February 16, 1996, by MO&Os (FCC 96-72 and 96-73).
