Released: October 19, 2000 COMMENTS SOUGHT ON COMPTEL'S PETITION FOR RECONSIDERATION OF THE MODIFICATION OF THE SBC/AMERITECH MERGER CONDITIONS On September 8, 2000, the Commission released an Order granting the request of SBC Communications, Inc. (SBC) to modify certain aspects of the conditions contained in the SBC/Ameritech Merger Order (SBC Plug & Play Order). On October 10, 2000, the Competitive Telecommunciations Association (CompTel) filed a petition for reconsideration of the SBC Modification Order pursuant to Section 1.106 of the Commission's rules. Parties may file comments on CompTel's petition no later than November 2, 2000. Replies should be filed no later than November 9, 2000. Comments should reference CC Docket 98-141, ASD File No. 99-49.
