BELL ATLANTIC FILES SECTION 274 ELECTRONIC PUBLISHING COMPLIANCE
                         REVIEW REPORT

                       ASD File No. 98-85

     On August 31, 1998, Bell Atlantic Corporation ("Bell Atlantic") filed its electronic
publishing compliance review report for its separated electronic publishing affiliate, as required by
section 274(b)(9) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended.  Bell Atlantic's electronic
publishing compliance review report, which addresses the activities of Bell Atlantic Electronic
Commerce Services, Inc. ("BAECS"), is available for public inspection as provided in section
274(b)(9) and the Commission's rules.

     Interested persons may inspect and copy Bell Atlantic's electronic publishing compliance
review report in the Accounting Safeguards Division public reading room, Room 812, 2000 L
Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20554.  In addition, copies are available from the Commission's
duplicating contractor, International Transcription Services (ITS), at its office at 1231 20th
