(USW) Ohio filed a petition requesting that the Commission reconsider certain of its rules established in Rules and Policies Regarding Calling Number Identification Service -- Caller ID, Third Report and Order, Memorandum Opinion and Order on Further Reconsideration, and Memorandum Opinion and Order on Reconsideration, CC Docket No. 91- 281, FCC 97-103 (rel. March 25, 1997). USW states that Nortel DMS-100 switches are not capable of providing *82 blocking mechanisms and, thus, requests a reconsideration of blocking code requirements with respect to party lines. Alternatively, USW requests a waiver with respect to customers served by Nortel DMS-100 switches. On September 26, 1997, a Public Notice was issued establishing October 3, 1997 as the deadline for filing comments in the above captioned proceeding. We hereby modify those deadlines. Interested parties may file comments concerning this matter on or before 15 days from publication of this Public Notice in the Federal Register. Reply comments may be filed within 10 days after the date for filing comments has expired. All filings must reference US WEST Petition for Reconsideration, CC Docket No. 91-281, and should be sent to William F.
