File No. NSD-LM-97-30 Released: August 22, 1997 AMERITECH REQUEST FOR LIMITED MODIFICATION OF LATA BOUNDARIES TO PROVIDE ELCS FROM THE NEW PHILADELPHIA/DOVER (OHIO) EXCHANGE TO THE UHRICHSVILLE (OHIO) EXCHANGE On August 14, 1997, Ohio Bell Telephone Company (Ameritech Ohio) filed a petition, pursuant to Section 3(25) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C.  153(25). Ameritech Ohio requests that the Commission modify a local access and transport area (LATA) boundary so that Ameritech Ohio may provide one-way flat-rate, non-optional expanded local calling service (ELCS) from the New Philadelphia/Dover (Ohio) exchange of GTE North to Ameritech Ohio's Uhrichsville (Ohio) exchange. Alternatively, Ameritech Ohio asks the Commission to rule that no federal authorization is required to provide this service. Interested parties may file comments concerning this matter on or before September 5, 1997 and reply comments on or before September 12, 1997.
