    SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES CORPORATION AND RURAL HEALTH CARE
     CORPORATION BOARDS OF DIRECTORS TO HOLD OPEN MEETINGS 

The Boards of Directors of the Schools and Libraries Corporation and the Rural Health Care
Corporation will hold their first Open Meetings on Tuesday, September 23, 1997 from 8:30 a.m.
until 1:00 p.m.  The meetings will be held at the Double Tree Hotel Park Terrace, 1515 Rhode
Island Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20005, phone number (202) 232-7000.  At the meetings,
the Schools and Libraries Corporation and Rural Health Care Corporation Boards of Directors
will address issues relating to administration of the federal universal service support mechanisms
for schools and libraries and rural health care providers, respectively.
