Washington, D.C. 20554 DA 97-1408 PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMENTS ON ALARM INDUSTRY COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE EMERGENCY MOTION FOR ORDERS TO SHOW CAUSE AND TO CEASE AND DESIST CCBPol 97-8 Released: July 3, 1997 On July 2, 1997, the Alarm Industry Communications Committee (AICC) filed a motion requesting that the Commission immediately order Ameritech Corporation to show cause why its acquisition of the alarm monitoring assets of Masada Security, Inc. is not in violation of section 275(a)(2) of the Communications Act, as amended. AICC further requests that the Commission promptly issue a cease and desist order directing Ameritech to rescind its purchases of Masada's assets. Interested parties should file comments on the AICC motion by August 4, 1997 and reply comments by August 18, 1997, with the Secretary, FCC 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554. A copy should also be sent to Janice Myles, Common Carrier Bureau, FCC, Room 544, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554, and to the Commission's contractor for public service records duplication, ITS, Inc. at 1231 20th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20036.
