                 BELLSOUTH REQUESTS EXTENSION OF TIME TO 
                MAKE ELECTION FOR VIDEO DIALTONE FACILITIES

     Pursuant to Commission Order, BellSouth Telecommunications, Inc. ("BellSouth") filed
a Notice of Election and Request for Extension of Time.  BellSouth has elected to use its video
dialtone facilities to provide cable service in Chamblee, Georgia and requests an extension of
time for its election as to Dekalb County, Georgia.  Comments on the Request for Extension of
Time are due to be filed with the Office of the Secretary and the Office of the Bureau Chief,
Cable Services Bureau on or before November 25, 1996.
