SNET seeks this waiver to establish new rate elements to offer a new Synchronous Optical Networkbased (SONET) switched transport service known as SNET SONET Network Service (SSNS). x` ` SNET states that SSNS will provide special access transport utilizing SONET transmission that transports both special access and switched access services, and provides customers with increased capability for remote supervision and performance monitoring.
