LONG DISTANCE SERVICE Dear Customer: You may have been contacted by a Business Discount Plan, Inc. representative who may have left you with the impression that Business Discount Plan, Inc. is affiliated with or otherwise represents AT&T. If so, that is incorrect. Business Discount Plan, Inc. is not affiliated in any way with, nor does it otherwise represent AT&T. This letter is sent to clarify the nature of the long distance service provided by Business Discount Plan, Inc. ("BDP"). BDP is an independent, non-facilities based long distance telephone service provider and, unless you have recently changed your long distance service, BDP is your company's carrier for long distance calls. BDP is regulated by the Federal Communications Commission and various states' Public Utility Commissions. As your telephone bill indicates, BDP customers receive a single bill for local service (with rates set by your local company) and long distance charges (with rates set by BDP). If you believe your company's service was changed from AT&T without your authorization (or if you provided such authorization based on your belief that BDP represented or was otherwise affiliated with AT&T) and you wish to return to AT&T, you should call AT&T at 1 (800) 509-9795. If you believe your company's services was changed from another carrier without your authorization and you wish to return to your former carrier, you should call that carrier.
