On August 28, 1997, Shared Communications Services of 1800-1880 JFK Boulevard, Inc. ("SCS") filed the above-captioned complaint against MCI Telecommunications Corporation ("MCI"), alleging violations of the Commission's rules and policies regarding the selection of primary interexchange carriers and of Section 201(b) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C.  201(b). SCS and MCI subsequently filed a joint motion to dismiss with prejudice on May 12, 1998. 2. We are satisfied that granting the parties' request to dismiss this complaint will serve the public interest by eliminating the need for further litigation and the expenditure of further time and resources by the parties and the Commission. 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to Sections 4(i), 4(j), and 208 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C.  154(i), 154(j), 208, and the authority delegated in Sections 0.91 and 0.291 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.  0.91, 0.291, that the joint request to dismiss the above-captioned complaint IS GRANTED. 4.
