GLADES TELECOMMUNICATIONS, INC. WITHDRAWS APPLICATION FOR OPEN VIDEO
                      SYSTEM CERTIFICATION


     On April 2, 2001, Glades Telecommunications, Inc. ("Glades") filed a request to withdraw its
application for Open Video System certification in various communities in Florida ( FCC Public Notice, DA
98-829, rel. April 30, 1998 ).  Glades' request to withdraw is without prejudice to refiling in the future.
