       MEDIACOM PETITION FOR WAIVER FROM REQUIREMENT TO 
             PROVIDE POINT OF DEPLOYMENT MODULES  
                           CSR 5569-Z

Pursuant to Section 76.7 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.  76.7, Mediacom Communications
Corporation ("Mediacom") filed a petition for special relief requesting a waiver of 47 C.F.R.  76.1204. 
Mediacom seeks a waiver from the requirement to offer point of deployment modules ("PODs") for some
of its cable systems.

     Pursuant to Section 1.1208, of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.  1.1208, this proceeding is
designated as restricted for purposes of the Commission's ex parte rules.

Comments and oppositions to Mediacom's petition must be filed by July 20, 2000.  Replies are due
July 31, 2000.  All filings should reference the case identifier assigned to this proceeding, CSR 5569-Z.
