        PETITION FOR WAIVER FROM REQUIREMENT TO PROVIDE 
                 POINT OF DEPLOYMENT MODULES  
                           CSR 5548-Z

Pursuant to Section 76.7 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.  76.7, AT&T Broadband, L.L.C.
("AT&T) filed a petition for special relief requesting a waiver of 47 C.F.R.  76.1204.  AT&T seeks a
waiver from the requirement to offer point of deployment modules ("PODs") for some of its cable systems.

     Pursuant to Section 1.1208, of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.  1.1208, this proceeding is
designated as restricted for purposes of the Commission's ex parte rules.

Comments and oppositions to AT&T's petition must be filed by May 22, 2000.  Replies are due
May 30, 2000.  All filings should reference the case identifier assigned to this proceeding, CSR 5548-Z.
