        CLARIFICATION OF FILING DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS TO
        PETITION FOR WAIVER FROM REQUIREMENT TO PROVIDE 
                 POINT OF DEPLOYMENT MODULES  
                                

In Public Notice DA 00-994, released May 5, 2000, the Cable Service Bureau sought comment on
Charter Communications, Inc. ("Charter") petition for special relief requesting a waiver of 47 C.F.R. 
76.1204.  Charter seeks a waiver from the requirement to offer point of deployment modules ("PODs") for
some of its cable systems.

     We clarify that comments and oppositions to Charter's petition must be filed by May 22, 2000. 
Replies are due May 30, 2000.  As stated in the filing instructions set forth in Public Notice DA 00-994, all
filing should reference case number CSR-5545-Z.

We reiterate that the petition is available for public inspection in the Commission's Reference
Information Center:
