RCN-BECOCOM, LLC FILES A MODIFICATION TO THE SERVICE AREA OF ITS OPEN
                          VIDEO SYSTEM


     RCN-BecoCom, LLC ("RCN-BecoCom") (formerly RCN-BETG, LLC) obtained Commission
certification to operate an Open Video System in the City of Boston, Massachusetts and certain surrounding
communities on February 27, 1997.  RCN-BecoCom has filed a modification to the service area of its Open
Video System withdrawing the cities of Boston, Burlington, Dedham, Framingham. Lexington, Norwood,
Quincy and Wakefield, Massachusetts from the system's certificated service area.  RCN BecoCom stated that
it will now provide video programming services in the foregoing cities pursuant to cable franchise agreements
it has entered into with the cities.
