RCN TELECOM SERVICES OF CALIFORNIA, INC. FILES AN APPLICATION FOR OPEN
                   VIDEO SYSTEM CERTIFICATION


     Pursuant to 47 C.F.R. 76.1502, RCN Telecom Services of California, Inc. ("RCN California") filed
an application for Open Video System certification in the California counties of Los Angeles, Orange and San
Bernardino on June 2, 1999.  Comments are due to be filed with the Office of the Secretary and the Office of
the Bureau Chief, Cable Services Bureau, on or before June 7, 1999.  Comments must be filed in accordance
with the requirements set forth in 47 C.F.R. 76.1502(e).  RCN California's application is available via the
