Metropolitan Fiber Systems/McCourt, Inc. Files Open Video System Certification Withdrawal

      On December 9, 1996, the Commission certified Metropolitan Fiber Systems/McCourt, Inc. ("MFS
McCourt") to operate an open video system in the City of Boston, Massachusetts.  On September 16, 1998,
MFS McCourt filed a letter informing the Commission that it does not operate an open video system and has
no intention of providing such services in the future.  Consequently, MFS McCourt withdraws its open video
certification to serve the City of Boston, Massachusetts.
