JACKSON UTILITY DIVISION, THE CITY OF JACKSON, TENNESSEE, FILES AN
        APPLICATION FOR OPEN VIDEO SYSTEM CERTIFICATION


     Pursuant to 47 C.F.R.  76.1502, Jackson Utility Division, the City of Jackson, Tennessee ("JUD"),
filed an application for Open Video System certification on July 15, 1998.  Comments are due to be filed with
the Office of the Secretary and the Office of the Bureau Chief, Cable Services Bureau, on or before July 20,
1998. Comments must be filed in accordance with the requirements set forth in 47 C.F.R.  76.1502(e).  JUD's
