                         RCN-BECoCom, LLC FILES 
              OPEN VIDEO SYSTEM CERTIFICATION MODIFICATION

       On February 27, 1997, the Commission certified RCN-BECoCom, LLC, formerly RCN-BETG,
LLC ("RCN"), to operate an open video system in the City of Boston, Massachusetts and the forty-six
surrounding communities, including the Town of Brookline, Massachusetts.  On May 20, 1998, RCN filed
a letter informing the Commission that it entered into a cable franchise agreement with the Town of
Brookline.  RCN has elected to serve the Town of Brookline as a cable franchisee and, consequently,
withdraws the Town of Brookline as a community to be served by its open video system.
