GST TELECOM NEW MEXICO, INC. FILES AN APPLICATION FOR OPEN VIDEO SYSTEM
CERTIFICATION

       Pursuant to 47 C.F.R.  76.1502, GST Telecom New Mexico, Inc. of Vancouver, Washington
("GST") filed an application for Open Video System certification on November 17, 1997.  Comments are
due to be filed with the Office of the Secretary and the Office of the Bureau Chief, Cable Services Bureau,
on or before November 21, 1997.  Comments must be filed in accordance with the requirements set forth in
47 C.F.R.  76.1502(e).  GST's application is available via the Internet:
