   CABLE SERVICES BUREAU ANNOUNCES FURTHER EXTENSION OF TIME
          TO FILE COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION 
             FOR CENTURY COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION

     The Cable Services Bureau is further extending the period for filing comments in Century
Communications Corporation, Resolution of Rate Complaints, Order, FCC 96-359 (released Aug.
23, 1996 ("Order").  The Commission is seeking comment on the Proposed Resolution received
from Century Communications Corporation ("Century") to resolve rate complaints in certain
communities in the Los Angeles, California area.

     By letter of November 7, 1996, the City of Beverly Hills ("The City") has requested
additional time to submit supplemental comments in order to facilitate on-going discussions with
Century.  The City has stated that Century consents and joins in this request.

     For good cause shown, the Bureau is extending the deadline for filing comments to
November 22, 1996 and reply comments to December 9, 1996.

     The Order and the attached Proposed Resolution are available for reference in the Cable
Services Bureau's public reference room, Room 333, 2033 M Street, N.W., Washington, DC.  Copies
are available from the Commission's copy contractor, International Transcription Services, Room
246 at the Federal Communications Commission, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20554,
