                           CABLE SERVICES ACTION          November 6,  1996


     Pursuant to Commission Order, Sprint Corporation, on behalf of its North Carolina
subsidiary Carolina Telephone and Telegraph Company, filed a Request for Extension of Time
to transition its video dial tone service to a franchised cable system.  Comments on the Request
for Extension of Time are due to be filed with the Office of the Secretary and the Office of the
Bureau Chief, Cable Services Bureau on or before November 18, 1996.
