DA 95-887 April 20, 1995 CABLE SERVICES BUREAU ANNOUNCES EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE COMME NTS AND REPLY COMMENTS ON THE SOCIAL CONTRACT FOR CONTINENTAL CABLEVISION, INC. AND ALSO ANNOUNCES AN EX TENSION OF TIME FOR WHICH RELEVANT FRANC HISE AUTHORITIES MAY "OPT" OUT The Cable Services Bureau is extending the filing deadlines for comments and reply comments on the proposed social contract for Continental Cablevision, Inc. outlined in FCC 95-137, April 3, 1995. This extension is made to assure that all parties will have an opportunity to review the proposed social contract and an opportunity to file comments and reply comments which will provide for the development of a complete record. The deadline for filing comments is extended from May 3, 1995 to May 22, 1995; the deadline for filing reply comments is extended from May 18, 1995 to June 6, 1995. All such pleadings should reference FCC 95-137 and should be filed with the Office of the Secretary, Federal Communications Commission, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554. All comments will be available to any of the parties upon request. The Cable Services Bureau is also extending the time by which franchise authorities that wish to opt out of the basic service tier cost of service refunds specified by the proposed social contract must provide written notice to the Commission. The deadline of May 18, 1995 for franchise authorities to opt out is extended to June 6, 1995. All such notifications should reference FCC 95-137 and should be filed with the Office of the Secretary, Federal Communications Commission, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
