DA 95-669 PLEADING CYCLE ESTABLISHED FOR COMMENTS ON NCTA'S MOTION TO ORDER REVOCATION OF SNET MARKET TRIAL AUTHORIZATION FILE NO. W-P-C-6858 Released: March 31, 1995 On March 28, 1995, the National Cable Television Association, Inc. (NCTA) filed a motion requesting that the Commission revoke the Section 214 authority granted to Southern New England Telephone Company (SNET) to conduct a video dialtone technical and market trial. The Commission initially granted SNET permission to conduct a limited, one-year trial in West Hartford, Connecticut. Subsequently, the Commission authorized SNET to expand its video dialtone trial to include additional communities in its service area. (See Order and Authorization, 9 FCC Rcd 1019 (1993) and Order and Authorization, 9 FCC Rcd 7715 (1994).) NCTA argues that based on SNET's recent tariff filing for the market trial, it appears that SNET is not in compliance with its authorization. NCTA adds that SNET has not notified the Commission of any changes to its Section 214 authorization. Thus, NCTA contends that SNET's Section 214 certificate should be revoked. Interested parties are invited to file comments on the motion. Comments should be filed by April 10, 1995, and reply comments by April 17, 1995, with the Secretary, Federal Communications Commission, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554. Three copies should also be sent to Peggy Reitzel, Common Carrier Bureau, FCC, Room 544, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554, and to the Commission's contractor for public service records duplication: ITS, Inc., 2100 M Street, N.W., Suite 140, Washington, D.C. 20037.
