          CABLE SERVICES BUREAU ANNOUNCES EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE
                             PRICE SURVEY FORMS
                       NEW DEADLINE: DECEMBER 15, 1995


     The Cable Services Bureau is extending the filing deadline for the annual survey of cable
industry prices ("price survey") outlined in DA 95-2138, October 10, 1995.  The price survey forms
were sent to approximately 1100 cable operators around the country on October 13, 1995.  On
November 3, 1995, the Bureau received two letters requesting an extension on the deadline for
filing the survey forms.  Both letters (from Jones Intercable, Inc. and from Cox Communications,
Inc.) asserted that more time was needed for filing the price survey forms because of company
budget review process constraints and because of administrative difficulties in compiling the
necessary data.

     The Bureau recognizes that the coordination of survey responses can prove time consuming,
particularly when response coordination involves systems of varying size and wide geographic
diversity.  The Bureau also believe that the difficulties expressed in the extension requests may
characterize difficulties encountered by other operators attempting to meet the current deadline. 
Accordingly, the Bureau believes the requests for additional time are reasonable and grants an
extension and establishes a new response deadline of December 15, 1995.

     Note: This action extends the filing deadline for the price survey and should not be
confused with an earlier Public Notice (DA 95-2252) extending the deadline for the cost survey.

All Survey Forms should be marked "Attn: Price Survey" and be filed with the Office of the
Secretary, Federal Communications Commission, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
