PUBLIC NOTICE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION 1919 M STREET, N.W. WASHINGTON, D.C. 20554 News media information 202/418-0500. Recorded listing of releases and texts 202/632-0002. DA 95-2252 October 30, 1995 CABLE SERVICES BUREAU ANNOUNCES EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE COST SURVEY FORMS NEW DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 29, 1996 The Cable Services Bureau is extending the filing deadline for the cable cost survey outlined in FCC 95-2042, September 26, 1995. The cost survey forms were sent to 660 cable systems around the country on September 29, 1995. The Bureau received a letter requesting an extension from the National Cable Television Association ("NCTA") dated October 25, 1995. The letter asserted that "due to the press of other business, the system personnel most able to respond to the Commission's detailed survey form are finding it difficult, if not impossible, to meet [the November 30] deadline." The Bureau recognizes that the survey was due one month before the end of the calendar year, and the financial and accounting activities that operators now have underway could be useful to the form's completion. Accordingly, the Bureau believes the request for additional time is reasonable and grants an extension and establishes a new response deadline of February 29, 1996. All Survey Forms should reference FCC 95-2042 and should be filed with the Office of the Secretary, Federal Communications Commission, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
