DA 95-1325 Report No. CS 95-7 CABLE SERVICES ACTION June 14, 1995 NEW PRODUCT TIER FILING REQUIREMENTS Currently, cable operators are filing New Product Tier (NPT) rate cards and customer notifications at various locations within the Commission. Operators should now send all NPT rate cards and customer notifications to the following address: Federal Communications Commission NPT Filing P.O. Box 18658 Washington, D.C. 20036 The NPT filing requirement is contained in Section 76.987(g) of the Commission's rules and was adopted pursuant to the Sixth Order on Reconsideration, Fifth Report and Order, and Seventh Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, FCC 94-286, (11/18/94), MM Docket Nos. 92-266 and 93-215, ("Going Forward Order"). Section 76.987(g) requires that within 30 days of the offering of an NPT, operators shall file with the Commission a copy of the new rate card that contains the following information on their BSTs, CPSTs and NPTs: (i) the names of the programming services contained on each tier, and (ii) the price of each tier. Operators also must file with the Commission copies of notifications that were sent to subscribers regarding the initial offering of NPTs. After this initial filing, cable operators must file updated rate cards and copies of customer notifications with the Commission within 30 days of rate or service changes affecting the NPT.
