CSB-A-0384 Orders Setting Basic Service and Equipment) CSB-A-0523 Rates Issued by Contra Costa County, CA) CSB-A-0524 ORDER Adopted: May 21, 1999 Released: May 27, 1999 By the Chief, Consumer Protection and Competition Division, Cable Services Bureau: 1. On March 31, 1999, Televents, Inc. d/b/a TCI Cablevision of California, ("TCI-C") and Contra Costa County (the "County") jointly moved to terminate Commission review of three local rate orders (the "Orders") without benefit of substantive Commission review. TCI had filed appeals of County rate orders for three of its Contra Costa County cable systems: TCI Cablevision of Contra Costa County (appeal filed March 27, 1997), Heritage Cablevision of Delaware, Inc. d/b/a TCI Cablevision of California (appeal filed March 26, 1998), and Televents, Inc. d/b/a TCI Cablevision of California (appeal filed March 26, 1998). TCI also filed with each appeal a request for emergency stay of the local rate orders. TCI states that it has reached an acceptable resolution of this matter with the County and that further Commission review of the underlying dispute is no longer necessary. TCI-C and the County withdraw all such appeals, stay requests, as well as all subsequent filings related these proceedings. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that the Joint Motion to Withdraw Appeals of Local Rate Orders filed by Televents, Inc. d/b/a TCI Cablevision of California and Contra Costa County, CA IS GRANTED and the Appeals and Requests for Emergency Stay filed by TCI Cablevision of Contra Costa County, Heritage Cablevision of Delaware, and Televents, Inc. ARE DISMISSED. 3.
