On September 16, 1994, Comcast Cablevision of Meadowlands ("Comcast"), the operator of a cable television system serving Meadowlands, New Jersey, filed with the Commission an appeal of a local rate order adopted by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, Office of Cable Television ("BPU") on August 17, 1994. The rate order established Comcast's rates for basic cable service, equipment, installations and hourly service charges pursuant to the Cable Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992. No opposition was filed by BPU to Comcast's appeal. 2. On January 18, 1996, Comcast filed with the Commission a notice of withdrawal to its earlier-filed appeal. Comcast states in its withdrawal that BPU has voted to reconsider the rate orders at issue. No opposition to the notice of withdrawal has been filed. Therefore, Comcast's notice of withdrawal of its appeal is granted. 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED THAT Comcast's withdrawal of its appeal of the rate order issued by Meadowlands, New Jersey IS GRANTED and the appeal IS DISMISSED. 4. This action is taken by the Chief, Consumer Protection and Competition Division, Cable Services Bureau, pursuant to authority delegated by section 0.321 of the Commission's rules. 47 C.F.R.  0.321 (1993).
